Stripped Down to the Bone Tour

So it's been a minute, but I'm back with a new batch of concert photos.

Recently I went to see Hawthorne Heights on their acoustic tour, Stripped Down to the Bone. It was a two week long tour that made a stop in my town! I also got the chance to interview JT Woodruff. It was an amazing time. JT told me that the band has always wanted to do an acoustic tour and finally decided to go for it. For fans who went to one of the shows, if you are familiar with Hawthorne Heights, the music will sound different, but in a cool way. That's the word according to JT.

This show was special and difficult at the same time. I love Hawthorne Heights and they put on an amazing live show, but it was difficult because I haven't been to one of their shows since the passing of Casey Calvert. I had the great pleasure to meet Casey before he passed away. To this day when I hear Casey's unclean vocals on past Hawthorne records, it makes me cry. Casey is and always will be very much remembered by JT, Matt, Micah and Eron. "There are definitely a couple songs [on Skeletons] dedicated to Casey. He’ll be there, he’ll always be there with us,” said JT.

I could tell that talking about Casey was still very difficult for JT . The first time I met Hawthorne Heights I took a photograph of Casey that I absolutely love. I have always wanted to share it with JT, Matt, Eron and Micah. So before I started the interview I gave JT an 8 x 10 of this photo of Casey. I was at first unsure how it was received, but found out later fthat JT was very stoked about it. Eron, Matt and Micah were as well when I told them about it.

Hawthorne's set was amazing. Great music and the guys were all about interacting with the crowd. Fans could very much tell that hard work was put into interpreting the electric tunes to acoustic. Hit songs such as "Niki FM", "Ohio is for Lovers", "Rescue Me", "Four Becomes One", "Saying Sorry" and "Bring You Back" were performed. The set wrapped with "Nervous Breakdown", the first single from Skeletons, Hawthorne Heights newest record. “We are on a new label, writing new songs, it is like a start over point. I thought a skeleton was a cool way to describe a building block or structure. We are able to add whatever we want.”

It is an amazing record and fans will thoroughly enjoy it. Keep your eyes and ears open for an electric Hawthorne Heights tour!

Coming Soon... more pictures of the Stripped Down to the Bone Tour!!!!
